July 5
This was a sea day as we transited from the Aegean Sea to the Black Sea.  We got up around 4:30am to watch passing through part of the Dardanelles and at lunch time we sailed through Istanbul where Asia and Europe are on opposite sides of the Bosporus.  The weather was perfect and the views spectacular.  The Bosporus is clear water and we saw several pods of dolphin alongside the ship.  This evening had the Captain's welcome party and dinner and we had the pleasure of being seated at the Captain's table.  Pat sat next to Captain Felice and we had a delightful conversation.  Also at the table was a retired Navy captain who flew fighters during Vietnam and ended his career as commander of a nuclear aircraft carrier.
